We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. Critiques
Showing the grandeur and artistic wonder of the human face is a time-honored tradition among artists, and with a subject this beautiful, a desire to showcase the wonder and majesty is easy to understand.
There really is very little to detract from the piece. The wet hair works perhaps as a double-edged sword. The piece might be more expressive if the hair was dry and fuller, but then that would run counter to theme of the piece.
All in all, "MERMAID 2" is a masterful piece of photography.
